Morgan 3 Wheeler- 'Bleazey Cush Drive' kit

The Bleazey Cush Drive is a highly respected drivetrain upgrade for the 2012–2021 Morgan 3 Wheeler, designed by Phil Bleazey and now manufactured exclusively by Mog3wheeler Ltd. It retains Phil's proven design and use of carefully selected materials and components.

Developed as a more robust alternative to both the early compensator system and the later Centa-derived cush drive, the Bleazey system is designed to improve durability, quality of drive and makes routine inspection and servicing considerably easier. But, perhaps more fundamentally the kit seeks to address crankshaft spline design failure.

Why fit a Bleazey Cush Drive?

• Reduced risk of crankshaft spline failure – using a new improved self-tightening hub designed to help maintain a secure connection to the crankshaft.
• Improved drive take-up – the redesigned outer rotor incorporates  improved insert profiles for smoother and more progressive engagement.
• Countershaft support – a bronze Oilite bush fitted in the outer rotor means the countershaft is now supported at both ends.
• Extensively developed polyurethane rollers – Phil spent considerable time developing and testing numerous prototypes, experimenting with different materials and profiles before arriving at the final design we supply today. They improve the drive characteristics and can now be inspected, removed and regreased without removing the engine.
• Improved oil sealing – a correctly sized shaft with an accurately machined seal running surface, together with a new O-ring seal replacing the original sealant arrangement, helps reduce the risk of oil leaks.
• Bearing sleeve clamp – provides retention and improved security of the bearing
• Considerably lighter than the original compensator system, reducing rotating mass.

A key feature is the easy access to the cush drive inserts (rollers). Their condition can be inspected and, if necessary, the rollers replaced in less than 1 hour — without removing the drivetrain from the car.
